Queensryche’s “Silent Lucidity” and Pink Floyd’s “Comfortably Numb” have a section that sounds almost exactly alike. Queensryche singer Geoff Tate says he likes it when people make the connection, because “...that means they’re really listening.” Tate says the reason the chorus harmonies sound so much alike in both songs is the same guy wrote them – composer Michael Kamen. Tate, says the eerie connection was completely accidental and the band didn’t notice it until long after it was recorded.
